Grace Like Water

Grace like water.

We seem to be hard on ourselves and others. The thought of grace seems to be a distant one at most times. Almost as though, grace is only a rare gift for the privileged. A mindset begins to form that grace is an expensive treasure that is only allotted "every so often".

If I've discovered anything recently with God, it's this: We need to consume grace each day like it's water.

Grace is not that rare meal that we pine for when our minds want to fantasize about something. God's grace is necessary to our spiritual health and bodies. His grace allows us to move forward and live extraordinary lives for Him each day.

I know for myself I slip up in someway each day. Many times I don't intend to at all. But it happens. I'm human. God doesn't just want to count it against me and see me as "not good enough" to serve His Kingdom. He wants to give me His grace so that I can continue to move forward and be in His love.

So I think we all need to stop just thirsting ourselves in guilt and shame, and relieve ourselves with grace. Just like we need hydration constantly, everyday, we also need grace.
